One Hundred and Fifty years ago the island of ELBA was founded by two passing equines. It wasn't long before they called the magical place their home and began creating their empire. A few other creatures passed, and of course the royals welcomed them with open arms - eager to have more and more equines running along the shores of the island. Ten more years passed, and by now, ELBA was deeply populated, but things began going wrong.
The king and Queen held such strange markings, as far as they were aware, they were born with them - but their story told that the ELBA magic painted them on whilst they slept. More foals were born with these strange markings, and a soft glow to their skin, the King and Queen named them 'ELBA horses' They were their own breed, spectacular yet extremely peculiar.
As the years passed by, the horses of ELBA began to respect the Royals less and less. They weren't as special any more, for even the regular horses could create these fantastic foals. They didn't need the King and Queens help anymore. Fights broke out, and kidnapping happened frequently, as the elder horses treated these newer generations as collect-ables. Each was different, but each was an ELBA horse. It was at this point - when the Royals split. Furious at each other for what they had started. They went their separate ways, and soon after, war erupted.
The Kings army and the Queens army fought to the death, many were slayed in the brutal battles, including the once immortal King and Queen. It was then the horses of ELBA realized their mistakes. Now they had no leaders to make it better, and no where they could turn for help. Most of the elders had been slayed, but legend has it - some of them were also immortal, and they still lurk deep within the island, unseen by any other equine and unwilling to show themselves.
